Honolulu’s Disposable Food Ware Ordinance 19-30 (aka Bill 40)

Bill 40 Passed! Now, special interests are stalling the Law from taking effect.

What can you do?

Ordinance 19-30 (formerly Bill 40), which phases out single-use plastic in the Oʻahu food service sector over a span of two years, should have started in January 2021. However, some large businesses have been working hard to stall the implementation of the law, which has now been pushed back to April 2021.
